Composition of the Nursing Council of Mauritius

Part II subpart A section 4 of the Nursing Council Act of 2003 clearly define the composition of the council and which specify that the latter shall consist of :

•  12 persons elected from among registered nurses and midwives having at least 10 years experience in accordance with the rules set out in the schedule to this Act.

•  A representative of the Ministry responsible for the subject of health.

•  A representative of the Attorney General Office.

•  A representative of the Prime Minister Office.

•  4 persons not being in the profession of Nursing and Midwifery appointed by the Minister.
